Palin Will Not Seek the GOP Nomination

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will not seek the Republican nomination to challenge Barack Obama for the White House, she said in a statement sent to TIME.

“After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States,” Palin wrote in a statement from her home in Wasilla, Alaska. “As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.”...

Sarah and Todd my wish for you, is that you are held accountable for all the people you have destroyed. May an orange jumpsuit be heading your way.

Will Palin Be Forced to Run?

First it was Mitch Daniels, who refused to run. Then it was Paul Ryan, who also refused. Now it’s Chris Christie, who’s refused so many times he could write a book called “How to Refuse the Presidency” out of it. Rick Perry is getting dragged down, Herman Cain’s appeal is dubiously lasting, and no one seems to like Mitt Romney.

So what’s a disenchanted Republican voter searching for the next big thing to do? Turn to the one person who hasn’t definitively ruled out a run – who’s always been there to provide wish fulfillment fantasies to a certain loving segment of the GOP base – Sarah Palin...  Read more:   Frum Forum

Total Dominance! Red State Straw Poll: Sarah Palin 52.4% Herman Cain 21.4% Ron Paul 10.2% Rick Perry 7.3%

I find this truly and absolutely delicious.
There have been a lot of presidential straw polls since silly season started, some going all the way back to a year ago this month. I’ve seen all kinds of results, but I’ve never seen such a blow-out victory for any candidate...

Palin's déjà vu? Alaskans recall her unshackled when she quit governorship

Those who knew Palin best said she felt trapped in the Alaska governor's mansion, restrained from lashing out at her critics the way she wanted because with power comes responsibility. Elected officials are, in some ways, expected to avoid shooting off their mouths willy-nilly. The president, gosh darn, can't say just anything that pops into her or his noggin' because, well, what the POTUS says can have broad national and international implications, you betcha...  Read more:   Alaska Dispatch

CF: When will we have the first Jewish president?
JP: I think if Sarah Palin runs, she’ll be the first Jewish president.
CF: What?
JP: Sarah Palin is treated as Jews have been treated for generations: no matter what she does, she’s wrong. She’s either too religious or not religious enough;...
