Perception is reality in politics. If people really view the Ivy League elitist on his ranch in Texas as an average, everyday guy, as he clears brush and trees, then he truly is an average everyday person doing lawn work, even though he grew up in the north east and received an Ivy League elitist education. Perception is reality.
