I Was a Little Frazzled After the Raid But I AM Back

At 1:50am on Friday October 28, 2011, I was sleeping in the medic/nurse's tent at Occupy San Diego. I was woken up by screams and domestic terrorist in raid gear with black masks covering their faces, to hide their identity like cowards, marching in single file line. These terrorist had machine guns in hands, long batons, guns on their waist and voices or terror. They demanded that we leave the place we had been occupying or go to jail.

Within seconds, a couple of these domestic terrorist had manhandled a young man and started hauling him to a police van, underneath the west part of the civic center plaza under the event sign. This young man was not resisting arrest and had no time to gather his things and get out. Right after this another young man was being hauled over to the same van.

The woman that was also sleeping under the medic tent had left within seconds of these domestic terrorists arriving. I sat there in awe wondering if I should stay and be arrested or leave. I choose to leave and gathered my computer case and small rolling suit case and left the area through the doors of the civic center that led to the trolly tracks.

As I walked out of the area, I felt a deep sadness. How could I leave my friends behind when I hear them screaming? What could I really do when hundreds of domestic terrorist have machine guns, batons and other guns and we have no weapons. I was shaking uncontrollably. I started to call a couple friends that wanted to be informed if a raid occured.

As I begin to write and think back on the domestic terrorist raid, it reminds me of what has been going on in my own life for the last 10 years. That is why I will not sit down and shut up. I know first hand what it is like to have the 1% and even your own family terrorize and destroy your life and then blame you. They have taken everything from me many many times. What they took is stuff, what they can never take is who I am and what I stand for.

I am Live @ Occupy San Diego We Were Raided Last Night

Hi vistors to my site. I want to thank you for stopping by and keeping Sarah Palin out of the White House. I have been trying to do my part to expose her since she came on the scene in 2008 with John McCain. But after she announced she was not going to run for President I decided I wanted to be apart of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

I will still follow what Sarah Palin does, but I am living at Occupy San Diego and experiencing first hand this awesome movement. Please follow me on my blog http://www.occupyit.blogspot.com/. We were raided last night unexpectedly and it was something I have never witnessed in my life.

Over 200 police officers with all the gear, guns and batons to kill and destroy. You had no time to think if you did not start moving out of the area you were grabbed by officers and escorted into one of their vehicles. It was violent and scary. Over 40 people arrested and harmed with this raid. I have to leave right now to get back in the action, but please spread this around and make it go viral.

We lost all our donations and many people their belongings. The police were throwing it all away. Please support us anyway you can. Thank you and will write again soon.

Don't Let Wall Street Take Your Street

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.

As I observe, listen and participate in the occupy movement in San Diego I am encouraged to fight this battle in a peaceful and nonviolent way. It is just the beginning of a New Revolution. The movement is growing everyday and people from around the world have joined in solidarity to fight the 1%. Some are using force to get their message and frustration heard.

Others like myself are participating as peaceful citizens. All walks of life gather around San Diego Occupy. Six days ago before we had to take our tents down, we were feeding more homeless people in one day, than the soup kitchens in San Diego do in a week. People that claim the homeless are lazy and do not want to work are wrong. They are part of the 99% that have been oppressed by the 1%.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

It is time to stand up for human rights and use our voices. Corporations are NOT people. They are successful by the work of others. Yes they created and developed idea's that created a business. Yes they hire alot of people, but that does not give them rights as people. Minimum wage should be increased and medical insurance should be free for all. The 1% relies upon the 99% and they would not have all their resources and assests without them.

As we protest against the 1% that have money to bail them out of their lies and illegal dealings the 99% are going to jail fighting for their rights. Something is drastically wrong with this imbalance of power. Federal agencies need to fully investigate and prosecute the Wall Street Criminals who clearly broke the law and helped cause the 2008 financial crisis. It is time for the 99% to NOT sit down and shut up. Head to your local occupy and start to participate and volunteer.

It's Time to Octopi Everything

Why Occupy Everything?
Photo rights: Christopher Rios

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.
They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage. They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.
They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

Silence is NOT an option.
Use your voice to stand up against corporate greed.
Attend a local occupy in your area.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

Whether you lost your home, job, or just came back from fighting another illegal war we are the 99% standing up to the 1%. We are demanding that change happens.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of it's members: that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors:

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

That a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by ecomoic power.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

We Have The Power to Change things. It will not be easy or fast, but with patience and persistence it will Happen.
Be a job creator and quit using the machines at the store and banks.
Do business with people.

We are the 99% that have the power to make things happen.

I am Live @ Occupy San Diego

Why Occupy Wall Street and All Streets?
Photo rights: Christopher Rios

Because we are the 99%. Wall street and all streets belong to each of us.

Are you tired of the rich getting richer and the poor, poorer? I am. Had enough of corporations buying elections? I am. Angry that minimum wage is not enough to support you and your family so you have to work many jobs? I am. Pissed off that the same crooks get to sit on the supreme court, house or senate with no term limits? I am. Fed up that wars continue, while education and jobs and going down the toliet? I am.

That is why I am at Occupy San Diego and will continue to be here until my voice, along with my brothers and sisters voices, are heard and our demands are met. Below is a picture of what our camp looked like before we were forced to take it down.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

But that did not stop people from continuing moving forward to Occupy San Diego. As of today, there is one tent left, and many sleeping bags on the floor around the outside of the Civic Center.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

This movement is a seed, that will bloom into a beautiful flower. Nobody said it was going to be easy or fast. So as we water the seed with nutrients of love and patience, we will watch and take action to make the seed grow for the welfare of the 99%.

Photo rights: Christopher Rios

The monopoly the 1% has had, needs to be distributed down to the 99%. Greed is a weapon on mass destruction. 8 years in Iraq, the bank bailouts, the corrupt politicans with life term limits need to go. People need to be bailed out not banks. Wars need to end and education and jobs need to be created. Politicans, Supreme Court Judges, and all Public Servants should have term limits.

As we send jobs out of the country so corporations can pay people pennies while they make billions. It is time to stop what you are doing and stand up for a New Revolution. Occupy Wall Street has an agenda to make that Revolution happen. I urge you to jump on the bandwagon in your area and take back your streets, cities, states and country one day at a time. Get involved in your local chapter and make it happen starting today.

Palin's One-Man Iowa Operation Can Finally Stop Spending His Savings On Her Non-Campaign

Yesterday, when Sarah Palin officially confirmed what most people already knew -- that she was not running for president in 2012 prospects -- my thoughts turned to Peter Singleton. Singleton is a 58-year-old lawyer from California who took it upon himself to work on the Palin campaign that never materialized in Iowa. Back when we decided the time had come to drop Palin from our weekly round-up, on the grounds that it was pointless and actually sort of insulting to the actual people putting forth an actual effort to mount something that looked like a campaign, Singleton was on our minds. After Palin's big announcement yesterday, ABC News was quick to reach out to the guy:...  Read more:   Huffingtonpost

Palin Will Not Seek the GOP Nomination

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will not seek the Republican nomination to challenge Barack Obama for the White House, she said in a statement sent to TIME.

“After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States,” Palin wrote in a statement from her home in Wasilla, Alaska. “As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.”...

Will Palin Be Forced to Run?

First it was Mitch Daniels, who refused to run. Then it was Paul Ryan, who also refused. Now it’s Chris Christie, who’s refused so many times he could write a book called “How to Refuse the Presidency” out of it. Rick Perry is getting dragged down, Herman Cain’s appeal is dubiously lasting, and no one seems to like Mitt Romney.

So what’s a disenchanted Republican voter searching for the next big thing to do? Turn to the one person who hasn’t definitively ruled out a run – who’s always been there to provide wish fulfillment fantasies to a certain loving segment of the GOP base – Sarah Palin...  Read more:   Frum Forum
